A great staff is the key to success for any organization. In fact, your staff IS your organization. Staff members are the standard bearers for your mission and vision, the face of your organization to funders and constituents, and your single most valuable asset. However, in the nonprofit world, very few organizations spend enough time developing the skill sets and uniqueness of their employees.

Bohse & Associates, Inc. is an authorized distributor for Inscape Publishing—a pioneer and leading provider of assessment-driven learning solutions. These assessment tools have no wrong or right answers. They are designed to provide feedback to help people understand their personal styles, develop as effective managers, ease frustration and conflict in organizations, and can provide an excellent lead-in to training and consulting services.

Before administering an assessment program, Bohse does extensive pre-presentation work including site visits to get to know you and understand the mission and culture of your organization. The Bohse Team has many years of personnel experience and we do this so that we have a clear picture of the issues important to you.

Please note that these tools provide valuable feedback, but do not provide staff development. They provide a lead-in to training and consultation services that can take your staff to the next level.

DiSC® Classic
DiSC is the personal assessment tool validated through use with nearly 50 million people worldwide. DiSC helps individuals assess to what degree they utilize four primary dimensions of behavior: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness. DiSC® Classic can help employees at all levels understand their own behavior and enhance individual and team performance.

Dimensions of Leadership Profile®
The Dimensions of Leadership Profile is a self-directed learning tool designed to help individuals in your organization discover personal leadership characteristics, develop an understanding of the leader-follower relationship, encourage acceptance of different approaches to leadership, and match leadership approaches to organizational needs.

Team Dimensions Profile
The Team Dimensions Profile is a unique self-directed learning tool that helps individuals work from their strengths by identifying their most natural team role: Creator, Advancer, Refiner, Executor, or Flexer. Team Dimensions helps reduce team stress and conflict, matches individual strengths with team roles, encourages team innovation and problem-solving, and reduces project cycle time.

Work Expectations Profile
Employers and employees both need to have clear expectations on work issues including salary, hours of operation, job descriptions, career growth, teamwork, and autonomy. The Work Expectations Profile helps people explore 10 critical work expectations. By defining these expectations, you can improve employee performance and increase job satisfaction.

Time Mastery Profile®
Productivity and efficiency levels rise whenever individuals learn to manage their time and set realistic priorities. The Time Mastery Profile is an assessment tool that evaluates effectiveness in 12 critical areas including attitudes, goals, priorities, procrastination, team time, and planning. By managing time effectively, communication improves and project deadlines are more likely to be met.

Personal Listening Profile®
The Personal Listening Profile helps people identify which of five listening approaches they use to process, organize, store and retrieve information: Appreciative, Empathic, Comprehensive, Discerning and Evaluative. It also helps assess when your own approach may not be appropriate based on the situation, and which approach can be adopted for more successful communication.

Conflict Management—A DiSC®-Based Approach
A well-balanced workplace environment requires a focus on solutions, not problems—something that is very difficult when conflict exists. Conflict Management provides teams and individuals with the tools to discover their own response to conflict, helps them understand how others may interpret their response, and shows them how to deal successfully with the differences that cause interpersonal conflict in the workplace.

All Inscape tools can be administered in paper form, or electronically using EPIC, the Electronic Profile Information Center. All assessments include a customized, takeaway report that participants can study at their own pace. Participants are encouraged to call Bohse with questions as they review their reports.

If you would like to self-assess for personal growth, profiles can be purchased individually including a report that can only be accessed by the purchaser.
